Sells and supplies liquor and/or light refreshments across a bar counter or service bar.
Supervises bar staff, responsible for cash float and the replenishing of bar stocks.
Assist with beverage stock takes and departmental control.

MAIN DUTIES:
Receives beverage orders from service staff and from guests at the bar and dispenses
drinks as requested
Supervises bar cleaners in assigned area and ensures a high standard of cleanliness and
neatness in the bar area
Responsible for the cash float and for the correct charging for drinks sold.
Ensure a minimum loss through breakage, waste and theft
Maintains adequate bar food an bar beverage stocks and requisitions liquor at the
specified times
Responsible for safe keeping of bar stocks
Promotes customer satisfaction through a high standard of efficiency and courtesy
Adheres strictly to the provisions and regulations as contain in the Liquor Act No. 87
of 1977 and other regulations as may be applicable to the sale of alcoholic beverages
Assists Food & Beverage Management in the taking of bar stocks both beverage and
standard stock
